Ability 1st Change of Leadership

It saddens us to announce the retirement of our Executive Director, Daniel W. Moore. Dan has been an integral part of Ability1st throughout the past 23 years. He began his tenure here in 1997 as a Program Supervisor, moving to Director of Programs & Services five years later, and ultimately serving as Executive Director since 2013.

"I have really enjoyed being a part of building the programmatic capacity of our organization over the past 23 years," Dan said, "I also treasure having been a part of the lives of more than 300 employees and interns who have worked with us along their vocational journey," he said. "What I will miss most about Ability1st is the everyday routine of our staff family; hearing stories, solving problems and helping people grow."

Moore's last day in the office is September 30. His hard work, commitment, and dedication to our agency and community will be greatly missed.

"I have had the pleasure of working with Dan since 2006, and it is impossible to adequately express how much he has meant to Ability1st. While we will miss him, we are very excited for him and wish him the best in his future endeavors." said Bruce Leslie, President, Ability1st Board of Directors.
