Operations & Human Resources Manager

Shelley is originally from Miami but has lived in many parts of the country ranging from the west coast to the east coast, Midwest, and southeast. Each workday at Ability1st is an adventure. She manages the SHIP program that provides qualified consumers modifications to their homes to help them continue independent lives; she also assists consumers and staff with a variety of requests and manages the day-to-day operations of the office and is the go-to for all things HR. Her favorite moments at Ability1st are the smiles, hugs, blessings, and thank yous she receives from consumers who have received our help. She is inspired by people who show love and understanding no matter their circumstances, and people who feel weak or scared, but are brave enough to step outside their comfort zone. In her free time, Shelley loves to hang out at the beach, explore the outdoors and spend time with good friends and family. Lastly, Shelley is blessed with five children and a growing number of grandchildren whom she loves to spoil.
